Thermal expansion valve

Expansion valves precisely meter the flow of refrigerant entering the evaporator. We only use American made valves available anywhere in the U.S.

Roto Lock Service Valves

Isolates the refrigerant. Lines are removable without the loss of refrigerant. Unlike some compressors, all our units are equipped with removable Roto Lock Valves making a repair much less costly.

Refrigeration Solenoid Valve

This is an electronic shutoff valve which allows the compressor to pump down after its run cycle. The valve is controlled by the glycol thermostat. This also prevents refrigerant from migrating back to the compressor during off times.

Refrigeration Sight Glass

This allows technicians to monitor the refrigerant level, also equipped with a moisture indicator to make sure the internal refrigeration system is clean and free of moisture.

Refrigeration Filter Dryer

This filters small debris in the system to keep the compressor and all other components free of fouling. It also traps any moisture that may be introduced in the system in the event of a repair.

Liquid filled pressure gauge

The liquid filled pressure gauge allows you to monitor the leaving glycol pressure.

Hi/Low Pressure Control

This protects the system from over pressurization and also switches power to energize the compressor when cooling is called for.

Glycol Pump

Specially designed pump for 35% glycol, this circulates the glycol through the chiller and out to the process.

Glycol Bypass Valve

Unlike most manufacturers, this specialized valve is included on all G&D Chillers, allowing for process pressure control to avoid damage from over pressurization. This valve is adjustable but is normally set from the factory at 20psi.

Fan Cycling Control

This senses discharge pressure and properly cycles the condenser fans as need to maintain head pressure to increase an efficient chiller operation.

Condenser fan and motor

These fans cool the refrigerant by blowing air through the condenser coil.

Condenser Coil

This is the cooling coil for the refrigeration system. This ultimately rejects the heat taken from the product being cooled by the chiller.

Compressor

The refrigeration compressor takes refrigerant gas, compress to high pressure and sends out to the condenser to be cooled and condensed back into a liquid form. This is the center of all refrigeration systems. G&D uses only the highest quality and most advance technology when it comes to this component.

Compressor/Pump Start Contactors

This is a magnetic electronic device that energizes motors to turn on and off (compressors, pumps and fans).

Compressor/Pump Circuit Breakers

Breakers are thermal protection devices that allow power to flow to all the major motors. G&D always uses high quality circuit breakers rather than the cheaper, less proactive fuses.

Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

This is the place where the refrigeration and glycol meet. All the cooling takes place inside the highly efficient state of the art brazed plate HX. Brazed plates maximize surface area while keeping a lower refrigerant charge and better oil return to the compressor.
