Scott got his Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin and worked in the petrochemical/Oil & gas industry for six years. During his time as an engineer he was brewing a lot of beer at home and decided that the brewing industry was the place for him. He moved to Oregon and worked at Falling Sky Brewing for another 6 years, moving from cellar operator up to Production Manager. During his time at Falling Sky, he also attended the Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology receiving his certificate in Brewing Technology. He quit Falling Sky to travel and upon getting back to the states started working for G&D, where he specializes in helping breweries and distilleries size and select chilling systems that help them operate smoothly.
Scott’s teammates describe him as wise, affable and friendly. He’s known for being adventurous rock climbing any chance he gets.
Outside of work, he likes climbing, running and hiking. His dream vacation would be getting dropped off on the Ruth Glacier in Alaska and climb his face off for a month or so.
