Medical Chillers OUR CHILLERS ARE USED IN A VARIETY OF MEDICAL AND PHARMACEUTICAL APPLICATIONS. G&D Chillers was awarded the contract to build a custom dual 20 ton low temperature package pharmaceutical chiller for Inhale Therapeutic Systems, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of inhalable drugs. Roche Bioscience in Palo Alto, California needed a custom chiller system for a process cooling application. G&D Chillers fabricated a dual 30 HP unit with plate heat exchangers and a 2,500 gallon stainless steel tank. The lab chiller was built to fit existing site conditions due to limited installation access. The medical and pharmaceutical industries present a number of interesting challenges with their specific cooling needs. These are fast-moving industries which require short lead times on custom units, system redundancy, precise temperature control, and low process fluid temperatures. G&D Chillers meets these challenges with competence and experience. Even when a medical chiller or pharmaceutical chiller is placed into production, we have the ability to make changes. We understand the design build process and realize that during fabrication, on-site conditions can change and our accommodation to those changes is simply a part of our process.
