Hey everyone, this is John McCoy Production Manager at G&D Chillers. We’re going to run through the steps taken to verify pump rotation. First off, it’s a good idea to get a certified electrician involved to help you with this process. There’s a few things to know. One, you’ll see a low glycol pressure, extremely low on your glycol pressure gauge. That might indicate a backwards pump. Rotation on this is indicated on the head of the pump. You’ll see an arrow going counterclockwise. That’s the direction we want the pump spinning. If you turn the motor around, look at it from the back, pull your cap off, you can see a shaft located here. What you want to see here when the pump is running that shaft spinning clockwise. That’ll verify the proper pump rotation on your system. Contact Us
